Some books on CBT consider physical feelings (muscle tension, heart rate, respiration etc.) as a separate component, but I find it best to view emotions more holistically. While behaviour and thoughts can be seen as distinct elements (in the true sense of the word), emotions are an amalgam of cognitive, behavioural and physiological components.
